LASH LIFT & EXTENSIONS

The lash lift is where your lashes are glued up and over a little soft “rod”. They are held in place with a water based glue, while a lifting solution is applied. This is left on for 10 minutes, then removed and a “setting” solution is applied for 8 minutes. Once the setting solution is removed the tint will then be applied and is left on for 10 minutes. Then all solutions and rods will be removed  and you will be left with your new lashes. The results are amazing. Lashes can last up to 6 weeks, some longer depending on each individual and their lash cycle, lifestyle and aftercare.

LASH LIFT PROCEDURE & CARE INFORMATION

DO NOT WEAR MAKEUP TO THE APPOINTMENT

IF YOU WEAR CONTACTS, PLEASE WEAR YOUR GLASSES TO THE APPOINTMENT

MAKE SURE ALL MAKEUP IS REMOVED AND LASHES ARE EXTRA CLEAN

This procedure requires very little maintenance and is perfect for anyone that doesn’t have time for regular upkeep. However, there is a little extra care required over the first 48 hours. Be very gentle with your lashes. No rubbing or itching. Sleeping on your back is best if you are a face or side sleeper.

Do not get your lashes wet for the first 48 hours. Swimming should also be avoided during this time.

Allow 48 hours before applying any type of product to your lashes. After 48 hours, you may apply regular mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, or any type of makeup products you desire; it will not affect the lashes. However, NO WATERPROOF MASCARAS.

Do not use any oils, lotions, creams, shampoos, face washes, makeup remover wipes or pads on your lashes for a minimum of 48 hours.

No heat, steam (including cooking over the stovetop) or sauna use for a minimum of 48 hours. Use of steam/saunas is possible after but may weaken the effect of your lash lift.

No other facial beauty treatments for 48 hours.

LASH EXTENSIONS FACTS

1. Eyelash extensions are not “one size fits all.” Everyone’s lashes are different and eyelash extensions should be customized to each individual for the correct length and thickness to suit their look and ensure the health of their natural lashes. Not everyone can or should get super long or super thick eyelash extensions.

2. A full set of eyelash extensions is not all one length. The shape of your lash line tapers – it’s longer in the center and shorter on the outsides and your extensions should be too. Following the design of the natural lashes creates natural-looking extensions!

3. Natural lashes grow to a finite length (different for each person), fall out and are replaced by new growth, just like the hairs on your head. When eyelash extensions are applied and maintained correctly, they will grow out with your natural lash and still be attached to the lash when it sheds.

4. Natural lashes are constantly growing in and falling out at different times so your eyelash extensions will too! There is no set amount of time that eyelash extensions will last because they will shed with the natural lash they are attached to when it grows out and that time varies. Due to growth cycles and different stages, the best estimate is that you will shed 1-5 natural lashes per day – including those with extensions and those without. Frequent re-lashes will replace those that have shed to maintain a full look.

5. You SHOULD be seeing your natural lashes and extensions fall out together. This is normal. If your extensions fall off before the natural lash, the adhesive bond wasn’t strong enough or maintenance instructions were not followed correctly.

6. You CAN wear makeup with eyelash extensions but it has to be formulated for compatibility.

7. Eyelash extension adhesive is designed to create a permanent bond between the extension and the natural lash. It is nearly impossible to remove extensions yourself without damaging your natural lashes. See a professional if you need removal.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR EYELASH EXTENSIONS LAST LONGER:

Oil is the worst enemy of lash extension glue. Do not use oil-based eye makeup – mascaras, eyeliner, or any other creamy stuff. And Do not pull your lash extensions, please.

WHAT ARE MY DO’S & DON’TS AFTER GETTING THE LASH EXTENSIONS?

First of all, avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours. Why? Your lash set may look all ‘done’ but in fact, the lash glue is still slowly curing. It can take 24 to 48 hours until the lash extension glue is completely cured and attached. Change in humidity, wind, touch can weaken the bond before it has the chance to set. So avoid the following  24 hours.

  • Do not get your lashes wet for 24 hours

  • Do not apply any aftercare product for 24 hours (including lash extension sealer)

  • Avoid strong wind blowing to your lashes

  • Resist brushing or touching the lashes

After this initial 24 hours period, your aftercare routine is much easier.

CAN I WEAR MASCARA WITH LASH EXTENSIONS?

Generally, the answer is no. Mascara can clump extensions and the beautiful lash fans and it can make your lash set very messy.
